Our client, a leading Investment Management Platform, overseeing over $2 billion in assets, is looking to find a Senior Data Engineer to join their growing team. You will be responsible for building ETL pipelines, consolidating MongoDB and PostgreSQL databases, and optimizing data structures for investment strategy analysis and simulations. Key Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines to support investment strategy analysis and simulations.
- Centralize and manage MongoDB and PostgreSQL databases for streamlined data storage and access.
- Build and enhance tools that support critical trading and portfolio analysis functions.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to create scalable, high-performance data structures.
- Drive insights through data analysis, data ingestion, and data integration.
- Write unit tests to validate the functionality and stability of systems.
- Continuously evaluate and integrate new data engineering technologies to improve processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 7+ years of experience in a Data Engineering role.
- Proficiency in Python3, with expertise in libraries like Numpy, Pandas, and Flask.
- Hands-on experience with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and modern data stacks.
- Strong expertise in building ETL pipelines and integrating data from multiple sources.
- Experience working in Linux-based environments (Debian/Ubuntu).
- Solid knowledge of data analysis, data storage, and ingestion techniques.
