Senior Software Security Engineer / Hybrid / Long Beach

Join an aerospace organization based in Long Beach, CA, they are rapidly expanding their efforts to develop artificial gravity space stations, enabling extended space habitation while mitigating the effects of zero gravity. The first crewed space habitat, scheduled to launch into low Earth orbit in May 2026, aims to be the world’s first commercial space station. The Software Security team is growing and looking for multiple engineers at the Principal, LIII, and LII levels. This role focuses on developing Security Tooling to enhance Developer Performance and Efficiency across Flight, Ground, and Vehicle product teams.
This opportunity is perfect for candidates who have a strong background in Software Engineering, with experience in backend development using Python, Go, or Rust. Expertise in Security Architecture and Design is essential, along with API Security Development and DevSecOps practices involving Docker and Kubernetes. Required Skills & Experience

• Python OR Golang
• 6+ years experience with building security services and configurations (i.e. IAM, short-lived certificates, API security)
• Experience building, shipping, and supporting security applications in the cloud
• Proficiency using the command line, writing shell scripts, and an understanding of the GNU/Linux operating system
• Docker and K8s preferred
