They are seeking an experienced Senior Data Scientist specializing in computer vision to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in data science with a focus on computer vision applications outside of the medical imaging domain. You will be instrumental in developing and deploying computer vision models that enhance our understanding of consumer interactions with products in various retail environments.

The role is hybrid in the Manhattan area, with an expected 2-3 days a week on-site.
Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement computer vision models to analyze consumer behavior and interactions with products.
- Lead projects from conception to deployment, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management and engineering, to integrate computer vision capabilities into our platforms.
- Analyze large datasets to extract meaningful insights and present findings to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in computer vision and machine learning to continuously improve our methodologies and tools.
- Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to the development of best practices within the team.
Required Skills/Qualifications:

- Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data science with a strong focus on computer vision.
- Proven experience in developing and deploying computer vision models using deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar.
- Strong programming skills in Python, with experience in libraries like OpenCV and Scikit-learn.
- Experience working with large-scale datasets and cloud computing platforms (preferrably Azure).
- Prior experience in retail or consumer goods sectors.
- Familiarity with reinforcement learning and its applications in computer vision.
