Sr. Data Engineer (Databricks, SQL, Tableau, and more!)

Job Description:

Our client, a global leader in industrial safety and productivity solutions, is seeking a Sr. Data Engineer to join their expanding team at their state-of-the-art headquarters in Milwaukee’s Fifth Ward. This role will be pivotal in implementing a new Business Intelligence platform designed to empower multiple business units with data-driven insights. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Databricks, Tableau, and ideally a background in the manufacturing sector. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design and maintain ETL pipelines in Databricks.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs.
• Develop data models and Tableau dashboards for insights.
• Ensure data quality, security, and governance.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data workflows.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on Databricks.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 5+ years in IT, 3+ in data engineering or analytics.
• Expertise in Databricks, SQL, and Python.
• Proficiency in Tableau for data visualization.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Knowledge of big data technologies and machine learning.
• Background in manufacturing is a plus.
