A forward-thinking organization dedicated to leveraging cloud technologies to drive innovation and efficiency. We are looking for a skilled AWS Cloud Administrator to join our dynamic IT team and help us manage our cloud infrastructure.

Job Summary:

As an AWS Cloud Administrator, you will be responsible for the design, deployment, and maintenance of our AWS cloud environment. You will ensure the security, scalability, and performance of our cloud resources while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cloud Management:

    • Administer and optimize AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and VPC.
    • Monitor cloud performance, capacity, and cost management to ensure efficient resource utilization.
  • Security and Compliance:

    • Implement and maintain security best practices, including IAM policies, encryption, and access controls.
    • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies.
  • Automation and Scripting:

    • Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like CloudFormation or Terraform.
    • Automate routine tasks to improve operational efficiency.
  • Backup and Recovery:

    • Implement data backup and disaster recovery strategies to ensure business continuity.
    • Regularly test and update disaster recovery plans.
  • Collaboration:

    • Work closely with development and operations teams to support application deployments and performance optimization.
    • Provide technical guidance and support for cloud-related projects.

Qualifications:

  • Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience:

    • 2+ years of experience in cloud administration, specifically with AWS.
    • Hands-on experience with AWS services and tools.
  • Skills:

    • Strong understanding of AWS architecture and services.
    • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation.
    • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Certifications:

    • AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator is highly desirable.
