Montvale, NJ based client seeking a Database Administrator for a hybrid contract role. (Open to Atlanta, Denver, Orlando as well.)

What You Will Be Doing
Design databases tailored to corporate needs and ensure they operate efficiently and securely.
Manage all database development phases from procurement to implementation and seek effective solutions for improving speed and performance.
Implementing the overall design, monitoring and optimizing of company databases
Planning the logical storage structure of the database and backup processes for servers and associated data
Monitoring and maintaining system health and security and the performance of the database during data access operations

Contract Duration: 12 Months Required Skills & Experience
- SQL Server developer with 8-10 years of experience in development using MS-SQL Server in both on-premise and Azure cloud environments.
- You will be part of a team responsible for designing highly scalable database solutions and ensuring their stability, reliability, and performance.
- You must have a strong SQL Server development background with can do attitude, and good verbal and written communication skills. You must be a good team player.
- Python and Synapse skills (data Engineering) required.
- Development of high-quality database solutions using MS SQL Server.
- Skilled at writing T-SQL code, designing new systems, understanding front-end-users’ requirements and have a problem-solving attitude
- Solid understanding of MS SQL Server database troubleshooting and background with industry standards for database operations.
- Logical and physical data modeling and design.
- Develop, implement, and optimize stored procedures and functions using T-SQL.
- Review and interpret ongoing business requirements that is varied and somewhat difficult in nature and design solutions.
- Able to perform work with minimal to moderate supervision; able to apply and interpret business rules and concepts in daily work.
- Build appropriate and useful reporting deliverables using SQL Server procedures.
- Analyze existing SQL queries for performance improvements using Extended Events, Graphical execution plans, Statistics, partitioning, etc.
- Ability to debug and troubleshot logical and functional coding errors.
- Develop procedures and scripts for data migration.
- Proactively monitor errors, locks, deadlocks, and other resource utilization, and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to work with other business and development team members and engage as needed for timely delivery. Must be able to multitask when needed.
- Experience with ETL processes to process large amounts of data using Azure data factory and SSIS.
