Grow your career as a Director of Regulations Management and Policy Technology with an innovative global bank in New York, NY. Contract role with strong possibility of extension or conversion to full-time employment. Will require working a hybrid schedule at least 3 days onsite per week.

Will manage a global team of developers to achieve business objectives in coordination with the business, program governance and other technology teams. Will lead implementation of a fully integrated inventory of Regulations and the Obligations they mandate, enterprise tools for authoring, maintaining and distribution the Governing Documents which comprise the Policy, Standards and Procedures inventory. You will work alongside some of the smartest minds in the industry who are excited to share their knowledge and to learn from you.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelors degree/University degree in Engineering field (preferably Computer Science)
  • 15+ years of relevant technology delivery experience with 8+ years as technology manager
  • Experienced in Agile ways of working, including use of relevant tools and ceremonies to Agile, Scrum and Kanban
  • In-depth knowledge and experience with modern tech stack including Java, Microservices, Containerization, RDBMS, Big Data, Cloud and UI/UX technologies
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, adapting to unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
  • Ability to engineer robust technical solutions with a focus on reliability and long-term total cost of ownership
  • Strong knowledge of Compliance/Risk & Controls concepts and functions within financial services
  • Demonstrated leadership, management, and team development skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to facilitate discussions


What You Will Be Doing

  • Responsible for Regulations Management and Policy, Standards & Procedures Management.
  • Responsible for the integration of these applications with other Compliance and Controls functional modules.
  • Responsible for design and implementation of bi-direction integration between these concepts and other related data concepts which form a full spectrum of the Regulatory Control Environment, such as Controls, Issues, Corrective Action Plans, and others.
  • Create and maintain a long-term strategy to achieve business and regulatory objectives in a systematic, well-designed and timely manner
  • Manage/develop multiple teams of professionals to accomplish established goals and conduct personnel duties for team (e.g., performance evaluations, hiring and disciplinary actions) as well as ensure team adheres to best practices and process
  • Develop vision for team around roles and responsibilities, and structure team to ensure greatest impact, and efficient use of resources
  • Prepare and present regular team/project reviews to senior management and business leaders
  • In-depth technology experience in executing enterprise level projects and be able to design, develop and deliver effective solution through collaboration, socialization of ideas and capture peoples thought process
  • Drive the design and development of system architecture, work with end-users of the systems, and enhance the quality of deliverables. Ensure adherence to policy and procedures throughout SDLC.
  • Ensure change is managed with appropriate controls, documentation, and approvals including implementation of new and revised regulatory reporting requirements
  • Manage and maintain all disaster recovery plans, oversee appropriate testing, and provide permit-to-operate for new applications
  • Meet with stakeholders, systems owners, and end users to define business, systems, and operational requirements.
  • Managing, organizing, and prioritizing multiple tasks and responsibilities
  • Strong knowledge of Compliance function to facilitate meetings with the business owners and appropriate subject matter experts to receive specifics on requirements. Perform analysis to determine and verify if business requirements and functional design has been met.
