Location: Flatiron, NYC (Flexible on-site with occasional remote)
Salary: $150k - $210k
Equity: 0.1% - 1%

The Role
Join as the first backend engineer to lead the design and development of scalable backend infrastructure, including work on compliance-sensitive environments like AWS GovCloud or on-prem deployments. Collaborate closely with leadership to build infrastructure meeting high security and performance standards.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop robust backend systems.
• Scale or migrate existing serverless infrastructure.
• Work across all product development stages.
• Help shape the engineering culture and team.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder.
• Proficient in C++, Python, or Rust.
• 5+ years of experience in backend engineering.
• Skilled in scalable infrastructure, compliance-sensitive deployments, and cloud environments.
• Familiar with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.
• Background in startups or high-tech companies preferred.
