Cloud Infrastructure Engineer - GCP

In this role, you will manage our GCP infrastructure, continually refining and updating the cloud architecture to align with the latest capabilities and best practices. You will be responsible for analyzing production system performance, identifying vulnerabilities, and developing tools to streamline cloud service setup. 

This position requires you to be onsite 3-4x a week in New York City. 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage GCP infrastructure end-to-end, identifying opportunities for automation and process improvement.
  • Analyze production issues and vulnerabilities, creating tools to mitigate problems during system design while adhering to security principles.
  • Work closely with engineering leads to identify and implement changes necessary for optimal system performance.
  • Lead efforts to improve engineering tools, systems, procedures, and data security.
  • Design, develop, and implement software integrations based on user feedback.
  • Implement automation tooling and frameworks (CI/CD pipelines) for developers.
  • Optimize and secure computing and storage infrastructure.
  • Maintain documentation for internal tools and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience as a DevOps/Site Reliability Engineer or in a similar Software Engineering role.
  • Experience in network, security, IAM, server, and application monitoring, with a strong understanding of these stack layers.
  • Proficiency with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) tooling and services.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and container runtimes (Docker) in production environments.
