Director of Operational Resilience
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Operational Resilience to lead a team focused on ensuring our organization can effectively withstand, adapt to, and recover from unexpected disruptions, such as cyberattacks, natural disasters, or technical failures. This role is pivotal in safeguarding the continuity of products and services and requires a strategic approach to identifying and mitigating risks.
This position is located in NYC and will require you to be on-site 3x a week or more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of the Operational Resilience framework, including policies, procedures, and standards.
- Oversee the identification and maintenance of Critical Business Services (CBS), including interdependency mapping across locations, systems, third parties, and data elements.
- Conduct scenario testing in collaboration with operational teams (Information Security, IT, Risk Management) to assess CBS resilience.
- Report to senior leadership, committees, and external stakeholders on Operational Resilience status and risks.
- Collaborate with global operational resilience teams to ensure consistent framework implementation across regions.
- Stay updated on global regulatory requirements related to Operational Resilience.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
- Manage crisis monitoring tools and support enterprise-wide crisis response efforts.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in Risk Management, Business Continuity, or related fields.
- Solid understanding of organizational structure, products, and services.
- Expertise in problem-solving, with a keen eye for both the big picture and critical details.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and remain calm under pressure.
- Familiarity with Operational Resilience regulatory standards (e.g., SR 20-24, DORA, UK FCA).
- Bachelor’s degree required.

- Confident and ethical leader who can communicate effectively at all levels.
- Ability to engage senior leaders and influence decisions on risk management strategies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or advanced degree preferred.
