Senior DevOps Engineer / Start-Up / First DevOps Hire

Job Description

Are you looking for your next big challenge? A startup developing AI-enhanced software in the airline industry is looking for their first DevOps hire. You'll work on a team of passionate and skilled engineers to build out their infrastructure in a multicloud environment. You'll wear multiple hats, managing everything from Big Data infrastructure, infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, automation, testing, integrations, and much more.

Ideal candidates have startup experience and have worked in a role as the first DevOps hire. Strong experience in AWS, Azure, or GCP is required, as well as CI/CD tooling, Terraform, scripting, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Experience with data streaming tools like Kafka or RabbitMQ are a big plus.

This role is on-site in Palo Alto. 

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years DevOps
• Extensive experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code
• Expertise in AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Experience building infrastructure from the ground up
• Experience building out CI/CD pipelines
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is required

Desired Skills & Experience

• MS in Computer Science or Similar
• Start-up experience or experience working as the first DevOps hire
• Experience with Big Data tools
• Experience with Kafka or RabbitMQ
