We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Storage Administrator to manage and optimize our storage infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and troubleshooting storage systems to ensure data integrity, security, and availability. This role requires a strong understanding of storage technologies and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:

Storage Management:
- Administer and support storage solutions, including SAN, NAS, and cloud-based storage systems.
- Monitor storage performance and capacity; proactively address issues to optimize system efficiency.

Data Backup and Recovery:
- Implement and manage data backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Regularly test backup processes and disaster recovery plans.

Security and Compliance:
- Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
- Manage user access and permissions for storage systems.

System Maintenance:
- Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and patches on storage hardware and software.
- Conduct regular audits and health checks on storage systems.

Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate documentation of storage configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Prepare reports on storage utilization, performance, and incidents.

Collaboration and Support:
- Work closely with network, server, and application teams to support integrated solutions.
- Provide technical support and training to IT staff and end-users as needed.
Qualifications:

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in storage administration or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with storage technologies such as EMC, NetApp, Dell, HPE, or similar platforms.

Skills:
- Strong understanding of storage protocols (e.g., iSCSI, NFS, CIFS).
- Proficiency in backup and recovery solutions (e.g., Veeam, Commvault).
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).

Certifications:
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Storage+, VMware Certified Professional, NetApp Certified Data Administrator) are a plus.
