A Saas startup based in central Phoenix, AZ is currently looking for a DevOps Engineer to add to their growing team. As a DevOps Engineer, you'll work with tools like GitHub Actions for CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code with Terraform and Ansible, and scripting in Bash and Python. While most infrastructure is hosted on-prem (roughly 80%), familiarity with AWS or Azure is a must. Containerization is handled through Docker and Podman, and while Kubernetes is used (mainly for testing and deployments) deep expertise isn’t required.

Required Skills & Experience
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in a DevOps or systems engineering role
- Self-starter with the ability to operate independently within the first 6 weeks
- Strong analytical thinking, with a demonstrated ability to approach problems creatively and thoroughly
- Comfortable working both autonomously and within a collaborative team environment
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive mindset
- Solid understanding of infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and configuration management systems like Ansible
- Familiarity with CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions or similar platforms
- Experience managing environments through Docker and/or Podman containers
- Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure (GovCloud experience is a bonus)
- Exposure to Kubernetes, particularly for deployment and testing environments
- Competency in scripting with Python and Bash for automation tasks
- Awareness of cybersecurity practices, patching strategies, or automated testing tools
- Background in startups, fast-paced environments, or highly regulated industries
- Interest in or experience with AI/ML platforms or utilities/infrastructure sectors
