Security Operations Center Lead (AZ LOCAL)

A company in the telecommunications industry is looking for a Security Operations Lead Analyst to add to their growing team. This individual will be responsible for providing mentorship to a team of lower level security analysts to help get them up to date on security operations best practices. Ideally this candidate will have a combination of leadership skills as well as technical skills specific to security. This role will also perform proactive threat hunting and incident response in any downtime.

The role will be on-site at their north Phoenix office.
Required Skills & Experience

• 6+ years of hands on security expeirence
• Previous experience in security operations position
• Experience leading or mentoring other analysts in regards to security best practices
• In depth knowledge of cyber security principles and emerging threats
• Expert level knowledge with IDS/IPS systems, SIEM platforms and EDR tools
• Understanding of network protocols and systems
• Strong problem solving abilities
• Strong communication and presentation tools

Desired Skills & Experience

• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent are a plus
