DevOps Engineer

Come join leader in the inventory management space as they are hiring for a DevOps Engineer. This company is responsible for building out a software platform that is used by enterprise level organizations for management of anything with inventory. This is an opportunity for someone to gain enterprise level experience but has the small-time/start-up feel to its environment.

Right now, the IT team is in the process of implementing microservices and are wanting to build out their DevOps environment. This role will be a major impact position as you will be partnering closely with the DevOps Lead. Ideally, they are looking for someone who is knowledgeable with Azure, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, etc.), and either Terraform (preferred) or CloudFormation. You will also be helping to build out their CI/CD pipelines, primarily with Azure DevOps and Octopus.

This position is a full-time, ideally looking for someone local to their Plano, TX HQ. It will be 95% remote, they will have some business meetings that you will need to get to the office for. Salary will be between $90-120K depending on experience.

Required Skills & Experience

• 1-3+ years technical experience
• At least 1+ years in a Devops role
• Cloud experience in production environments (not just POCs)
• Experience building out CI/CD pipelines - Octopus, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, etc.
• Solid understanding of automation - Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc.
• Terraform
• Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with clients and lead/drive technical cloud initiatives

Desired Skills & Experience

• Scripting with Python, Shell, Bash, etc.
• A Bachelors or Masters in a Computer related field is a plus.
