CLEARED AWS/VMware Automation Engineer

Active TS/SCI with CI Poly security clearance is mandatory

Position Details

Responsibilities

• Act as the first line of defense for troubleshooting issues in multiple Integration & Test environments.
• Collaborate with Software Engineers to document installation instructions and support I&T staff by modifying environments as required.
• Develop scripts using Bash, Perl, Ruby, or Python to update and monitor system stability and usability.

Qualifications Required:

• Active TS/SCI with CI Poly security clearance (mandatory).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Physics, or a related STEM field and 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Agile Development Methodologies (e.g., Scrum, SAFe).
• Proficiency in Red Hat Enterprise Linux and VMware solutions
• Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, Ruby, Bash, C++, C#, or Go.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for applications & infrastructure on Linux-based operating systems.
• CompTIA Security+ certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days).

Preferred:

• Hands-on experience with virtualization tools and cloud computing, including VMware, OpenStack, or AWS.
• Experience integrating COTS/FOSS software into a system.
• Expertise in environment and configuration management, maintaining multiple baselines (e.g., Dev, Test, Prod).
• Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
• Strong system integration troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Prior experience as a Linux or Windows system administrator.
• Familiarity with Information Assurance compliance standards (e.g., ICD-503).
• Exposure to IT infrastructure architecture and DevOps tools like Docker, Kubernetes, or Vagrant.
