System Operations Engineer - Powershell & SQL Admin

Job Description Our client, a large banking organization, is looking for a System Operations Engineer to join their team. They need someone who is strong with Powershell and T-SQL scripting to help them automate their mundane infrastructure and operations practices.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in Windows System Administration and some experience with SRE methodologies and tooling. Having experience writing new Powershell scripts and SQL queries for automation purposes is key as this is a huge component of the day-to-day job responsibilities.

This is a 6 month contract position located in Roanoke, Texas - 3 days onsite a week. There is some potential for conversion or contract extension. Compensation is $50-55 an hour. Required Skills & Experience
  • Experience with Powershell scripting for infrastructure automation purposes.
  • Comfortability collaborating with various IT teams to create an automation plan.
  • Experience with remediation and compliance as it pertains to Windows systems and servers.
  • Experience working as a Windows system administrator.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL query writing.
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field or any related certifications.
  • Any SRE based experience is great to have.
