We are helping a third part uninterruptible power supply company hire a fulltime battery technician for their Austin/San Antonio location. This company takes care of their employees by prioritizing work life balance, so this position will be a home-based job that requires you to go to different sites and assist with battery installation and upgrades.
The role involves delivering field service and technical support for the installation, removal, testing, start-up, maintenance, and modification of batteries and chargers. Responsibilities include reviewing test data to identify failures and generate reports, maintaining detailed asset information in a database, and providing accurate updates on job schedules, project completion, and expenses. The position also requires coordinating job schedules with material availability and adhering to all relevant regulations, policies, procedures, and safety rules.

Required Skills & Experience
- Knowledge of all aspects of DC power and battery installation.
- Installation/service experience with DC power and related equipment.
- Working knowledge of electrical testing and diagnostic equipment.
- Availability for daily travel and periodic overnight assignments.
- Ability to run and/or supervise projects of minimal complexity using contracted labor.
- Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
- Ability to handle various types of equipment and tools regularly.
- Ability to lift and/or move 50+ lbs.
- Ability to speak and understand English.
- License to operate a motor vehicle.
- Experience with material coordination, site layout, troubleshooting, revenue enhancement, customer relations, and safety management within the DC power industry.
- Strong vision abilities for depth perception and focus adjustments.
