Are you an experienced software engineer looking to take the next step in technical leadership while staying hands-on with cutting-edge AdTech? A fast-growing, AI-driven advertising platform in San Francisco is seeking a Technical Lead to drive the evolution of their real-time bidding (RTB) and demand-side platform (DSP) technology. This is a high-impact role at the intersection of machine learning, large-scale distributed systems, and high-performance computing.
What You’ll Do:- Lead architectural decisions and guide the development of a high-throughput, low-latency programmatic ad platform.
- Mentor and coach engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
- Collaborate with data science and infrastructure teams to optimize AI-driven ad targeting and bidding strategies.
- Build and optimize high-performance backend systems that process millions of ad requests per second.
- Ensure code quality and best practices through design reviews and hands-on development.
- 10+ years of experience in backend software development.
- Expertise in high-performance server-side development (Golang or Rust)
- Strong knowledge of real-time bidding (RTB), demand-side platforms (DSPs), or programmatic advertising.
- Experience with distributed systems, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), and large-scale data processing.
- Ability to mentor engineers, drive technical strategy, and optimize performance at scale.
