Senior Platform Engineer - GCP

We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to help evolve our clients data sources strategy, optimize infrastructure utilization, and ensure operational excellence across availability, security, and performance as they scale.

This position is fully remote in the U.S.

Responsibilities:

As an individual contributor in a deeply technical area, your responsibilities will include:

• Driving integrations with data source platforms to accelerate the introduction of new data sources for customers
• Providing build, test, and runtime infrastructure to service teams
• Establishing patterns (e.g., database throttling, request rate limiting) to ensure uptime
• Monitoring infrastructure costs and implementing improvements as necessary
• Driving Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) tooling and best practices around observability and alerting
• Writing, reviewing, and maintaining code primarily in TypeScript
• Writing architecture briefs and proposals, carrying out code experiments, and building prototypes to achieve reliable scale

Minimum Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as a platform engineer/SRE
• 3+ years of experience building and maintaining highly available and scalable distributed data sources
• Experience managing large-scale PostgreSQL installations
• Experience with cloud services such as Google Cloud Platform (Cloud SQL, Cloud Run, AlloyDB, or equivalent)
• Experience orchestrating complex systems with Kubernetes
• Proficiency in TypeScript development
• Clear and effective communication skills, whether you're writing code, emails, or explaining complex issues to non-technical colleagues
