Exciting opportunity for a Technical Project Manager with an established company on a Energy Risk Trade Management (ETRM) implementation project.
Contract Duration: 8 months
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience with Project/Program management tools is required
- Proficiency in MS Office and Visio tools is required
- Understanding of Front, Mid, and Backoffice functions
Desired Skills & Experience
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow platforms is a plus
What You Will Be Doing
The role of the Technical Project Manager is to lead and coordinate the project, ensuring a successful delivery. This resource will be accountable for the overall management of the project, coordinating activities between the software provider, the system implementer, and the internal team. They will plan, execute, and finalize all activities associated with the project with the primary goal of maintaining scope, schedule and budget. The Technical Project Manager will be aligned with all business stakeholders to understand the requirements, and then own the overall traditional project management activities for the project.
Job Responsibilities:
- Understand the key deliverables expected to be achieved by the project
- Lead the project and serve as a liaison between various stakeholders and external teams to establish the schedule while maintaining budget
- Facilitate planning, coordination and project and technology efforts
- Lead and defend technical and programmatic decisions
- Identify areas of potential misalignment and coordinate conversations that will lead to a common understanding across teams
- Coordinate discussions with the appropriate resources to solve complex problems
- Integrate programmatic, technical, systems engineering, business and personnel elements of project.
- Develop, present, and lead project planning efforts including project definition, success criteria, risks/issues, requirements definition, technical design, testing procedures and documentation, system documentation, user training, change management, and production delivery while coordinating and communicating with business and technical resources.
- Coordinate discussions with various system owners that will be integrated with the ETRM system to ensure their work scope and schedule are aligned with the project
- Support the documentation of interfaces, integrations and process flows as required
- Host and facilitate regular meetings with business and cross-functional technical resources for status updates, requirements definition, technical design, architectural reviews, demand management, and audit review.
- Effectively communicate project and technology delivery expectations to cross-functional team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
- Maintain actual and forecast budgets, status reports, meeting minutes, and follow-up with business partners and technical resources.
- Review deliverables prepared by team before delivery to the business or production support.
- Apply appropriate project and development methodology and enforces project and development standards.
