We are working with a prominent airline operator who delivers an extensive range of domestic and international flight services to travelers. Known for prioritizing reliability, passenger comfort, and exceptional service, its goal is to ensure smooth and enjoyable travel experiences for customers globally. They are looking for a fulltime Aviation Cybersecurity Gov Manager hybrid to their office in Seattle. 

In this position you will be an individual contributor establishing and heading the Aircraft Cyber program across the company. You will be helping establish tooling, standards and policies, and helping with external vendors. Additionally, helping conduct risk assessments and risk treatment plans as well as continuously gain knowledge of industry standards and best practices. 

Required Skills & Experience

• 7 years of aerospace engineering experience, encompassing aircraft control, communication, and navigation systems, as well as cybersecurity, with a preference for proficiency in both domains.
• A Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, or an equivalent combination of two additional years of relevant training or experience in lieu of this degree.
• Proficiency in aircraft avionics, cabin, and propulsion systems, coupled with experience in cybersecurity risk assessments.
• Familiarity with network exploitation and attack strategies, current IT security technology, cyber mitigation tools, network design, and security architecture principles.
• Demonstrated aptitude in project leadership and management, facilitating organizational change.

What You Will Be Doing

• Define and oversee the scope and priorities of the Cybersecurity Aviation Program.
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity programs relevant to the aviation sector, including regulatory requirements and guidance from aircraft manufacturers.
• Identify appropriate business units for involvement in Aircraft Cybersecurity initiatives and foster collaboration across multiple teams to achieve program objectives.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to implement established policies, standards, and priorities throughout the operational landscape and designated business units.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate cybersecurity risks associated with aviation.
• Develop responses for Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs) concerning regulatory cybersecurity implications for aircraft, in partnership with Fleet Management teams.
• Coordinate efforts with internal and external partners to drive the implementation of cybersecurity enhancements within aircraft and airport operations.
• Stay informed about industry standards and regulatory best practices related to aircraft cybersecurity to ensure ongoing compliance and effectiveness.
