Industrial IT Operations leader has an immediate long-term contract opportunity for an experienced Systems Analyst in Spring, TX. This position requires working onsite 5x a week.
You'll be part of a LAN/WAN cyber remediation initiative. This role focuses on strengthening network and system security, with a specific emphasis on Process Control Systems, Linux/Red Hat environments, and TMS 6/TMS 7 systems.

What You Will Be Doing

Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years in Systems Analysis, System Administration, or Cybersecurity Engineering roles.
- Hands-on experience with Process Control Systems (SCADA) in industrial, energy, or manufacturing environments.
- Proficiency with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) system administration and security.
- Working knowledge of TMS 6 and TMS 7 systems, including configuration and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of LAN/WAN architectures, TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, and firewall rules.
- Ability to document and communicate technical information to cross-functional teams clearly.
- Experience working in regulated or compliance-driven environments (e.g., NERC CIP, ISO 27001, or NIST standards).
Desired Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field.
- Industry certifications (e.g., Red Hat Certified System Administrator, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, GICSP).
- Experience working in or supporting Operational Technology (OT) environments and ICS/SCADA networks.
What You Will Be Doing
- Analyze, document, and support remediation of vulnerabilities in LAN/WAN infrastructure and connected systems.
- Assess and secure Process Control Systems (SCADA, SIS, etc.) without impacting operational continuity.
- Work closely with cybersecurity teams to interpret vulnerability scan results and support system-level mitigation.
- Administer and harden Linux-based systems, particularly Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) in both IT and OT contexts.
- Conduct patching, configuration reviews, and validation in accordance with cybersecurity and compliance standards.
- Perform risk-based analysis of TMS 6 and TMS 7 environments and support secure system configurations and network integrations.
- Assist in firewall rule validation, VLAN segmentation, and access control improvement as part of network remediation.
- Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, remediation steps, and test outcomes.
- Interface with multidisciplinary teams including operations, engineering, and cybersecurity personnel.
