Our client, which is a national financial institution out of Houston, is looking for a Network Engineer to join their team. This is a company that has been around for many years, spanning across 17 states with over 700 branch locations.
They are looking for a Network Engineer with 4+ years of experience that can help them with their initiatives of modernizing their network infrastructure. You will be working a lot with Cisco Meraki and Palo Alto. Ideally, they want someone who is strong with LAN/WAN and has some working knowledge of VXLAN as they implement a Spine and Leaf architecture. Additionally, you will be a good amount of work in their datacenters – helping with some of the cabling/racking along with doing some of their network monitoring.
This is a full-time role with a salary around $80-100K plus bonus. This role will be scaling back on its onsite needs over the course of a few months. Initially, they would like someone onsite 3-4 days as they learn their environment but will scale down to 1-2 days as you get ramped up.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- 4+ years of IT experience.
- Proven knowledge/background in Cisco and Meraki
- Strong understanding network protocols and fundamentals
- Any exposure to a cloud based environment is a huge plus
- Ability to multi-task, along with great understanding of business needs.
- Bachelors or Associates degree is a nice-to-have.
- Strong communication and written communication skills.
- Any knowledge on Spine and Lead architecture is a huge plus.
- Any other routing protocols knowledge (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) will be helpful as well.
