Job Title: Quality Engineer (Hybrid in Sunrise FL)
Location: Sunrise, FL (On site in office 3 days a week)

In this role, you will take on the responsibility of performing software quality assurance and testing, utilizing industry-leading methodologies and tools. You will design test plans, scripts, and procedures to ensure software meets high standards for performance, reliability, and security. Daily tasks will include reviewing requirements, creating and executing test scripts, and preparing test strategies. You will collaborate closely with engineers to monitor and track defect resolution, working in an Agile environment to enhance the overall quality of the product. The ideal candidate will have a background in test-driven development, automated testing, and a passion for continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related STEM field
  • 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in quality assurance and testing
  • At least 1 year of experience with:
    • Test-driven development and various forms of automated testing (unit, functional, integration, regression, etc.)
    • Preparing automation test frameworks
    • Writing test scenarios and cases, running functional and performance tests, and monitoring defects
    • Applying software development methodologies, particularly Agile
    • Tools and technologies including Eclipse, HP Quick Test Professional, Java, Maven, Oracle, relational databases, Selenium, SQL, and XML
  • Telecommuting available up to 3 days per week

Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute software quality assurance plans, scripts, and procedures
  • Review requirement specifications to identify defects and improve performance, scalability, and security
  • Create and maintain test data and environments to support software testing
  • Monitor defects and coordinate with engineering teams to ensure timely resolution
  • Apply best practices in quality assurance to improve overall product quality
  • Collaborate in Agile teams to deliver tested, high-quality software products

Salary and Benefits: This role offers a competitive hourly pay rate of $50 - $60/hour, depending on experience and location. Standard benefits including health, dental, vision, and more.
