Job Title: Life Sciences MDM Architect

Location: Fully Remote (US Eastern or Central Time Zone preferred)

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Life Sciences MDM (Master Data Management) Architect to join our team. This role is pivotal in shaping and executing our clients' MDM strategies, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and governance across the organization. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of MDM principles in the life sciences industry and possess the technical acumen to implement and manage MDM solutions. This is a hands-on role requiring both strategic leadership and technical execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • MDM Strategy Development: Lead the design, development, and implementation of comprehensive MDM strategies tailored to the unique needs of life sciences organizations. Ensure alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.

  • Data Governance: Establish and enforce data governance policies, standards, and best practices to ensure high data quality and compliance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive data stewardship and accountability.

  • Solution Architecture: Architect scalable and sustainable MDM solutions, including the selection of appropriate tools, technologies, and platforms. Oversee the integration of MDM systems with other enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, etc.).

  • Technical Leadership: Serve as the hands-on technical expert, guiding the implementation and maintenance of MDM solutions. Perform data modeling, master data consolidation, and synchronization across various systems.

  • Client Engagement: Act as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their business challenges, and providing MDM solutions that drive business value. Lead workshops, presentations, and discussions to align MDM initiatives with client goals.

  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including data analysts, developers, and business consultants, to ensure successful delivery of MDM projects. Mentor and train junior team members on MDM best practices.

  • Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes in the life sciences sector. Continuously refine MDM strategies and solutions to ensure they remain cutting-edge and effective.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 7+ years of experience in Master Data Management, with at least 3 years focused on the life sciences industry. Proven experience in architecting and implementing MDM solutions.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MDM tools and platforms such as Informatica MDM, Reltio, SAP MDG, or similar. Strong understanding of data modeling, data integration, and ETL processes.

  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of life sciences industry dynamics, including regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, EMA) and data standards (e.g., IDMP, ISO 9001).

  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage complex MDM projects, including experience in strategic planning, stakeholder management, and team leadership.

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CDMP, PMP) is a plus.
