About the Role
Our client is looking for a Business Development Manager – Litigation to join their team in Boston, Washington, DC, or New York City. This role will focus on supporting our Antitrust, Arbitration, and Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) litigation practices, working closely with attorneys, firm leadership, and marketing teams to drive strategic growth initiatives, enhance client engagement, and increase market visibility.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Business Development & Marketing- Develop and execute strategic business development plans for the Antitrust, Arbitration, and M&A Litigation practices.
- Identify and evaluate market trends, competitive intelligence, and business opportunities to expand client relationships.
- Collaborate with partners and attorneys to create targeted client development initiatives, including thought leadership, speaking engagements, and industry conferences.
- Drive cross-practice collaboration and integration to maximize client service opportunities.
- Lead the preparation of pitches, proposals, and RFP responses to secure new business and expand existing client relationships.
- Maintain and develop key client relationships through targeted outreach and engagement strategies.
- Work with attorneys to refine their business development strategies, including individual client development plans.
- Create and oversee the production of client alerts, thought leadership pieces, white papers, and other marketing collateral to showcase the firm’s expertise.
- Manage practice rankings, award submissions, and legal directory listings (e.g., Chambers, Legal 500).
- Partner with communications teams to promote high-profile matters, victories, and industry insights.
- 5+ years of business development experience within a law firm or professional services environment.
- Deep knowledge of Antitrust, Arbitration, and M&A litigation and the legal market landscape.
- Strong track record of successfully developing and executing business development initiatives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling pitches and marketing materials.
- Experience with CRM tools (e.g., InterAction, Salesforce) and legal industry databases.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under tight deadlines, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
