Immediate need for a Cyber Security Administrator to work for a leading organization at their campus in Northern, IL.
Manage and support the enterprise, by providing leadership for the IT Security operations and support areas, with expertise in overall best practices for enterprise level IT Security disciplines. Providing support for research and evaluation of recent technologies.

- Target Pay Rate: $75/Hr W2
Manage and support the enterprise, by providing leadership for the IT Security operations and support areas, with expertise in overall best practices for enterprise level IT Security disciplines. Providing support for research and evaluation of recent technologies.
Position Functions:
- 50% - Provide leadership to the IT Security operations and support staff for the secure operation of the enterprise, focusing on security controls and components, risk management, and business resiliency.
- 20% - Champion sound technical guidance for IT Security requests and provide prioritization for work that can span a broad range of technologies and/or business functions.
- 10% - Acts as a mentor for support staff and administrators on operational and support requests, providing technical direction for IT Security projects where appropriate.
- 10% - Work directly with IT and other business functions to develop optimal security standards and procedures that support new and existing business processes / applications.
- 10% - Provide leadership in overseeing the threat operations program, including supporting personnel, developing requirements, policy enforcement, emergency planning, security awareness, and other resources.
Supporting Functions:
- Communicate technical application security concepts to business users, developers, architects, managers, and primarily to the IT Security support staff
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert in the ongoing IT Security support and operations areas, and manage work assignments, coach and drive technical skill development, and provide regular feedback as appropriate.
- Create and drive proactive monitoring, reporting, and metrics, provide detailed risk and remediation guidelines, and ensure security best practices are implemented and followed in the IT Security support areas, including requirements for incident response.
- Ability to interact with technical managers and development teams to articulate requirements and processes while collaborating on design options, implementation, testing and user acceptance.
- Provide support and oversight of triaging intelligence alerts/events from intelligence partners.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize remediation and other key activities, provide evidence-backed analysis, and develop executive decision support.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree required or relevant experience preferred
- 5+ years’ experience in IT in large to enterprise level organizations
- 2+ years’ experience in IT Security in large to enterprise level organizations
- CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), Security+, or related information security certifications are preferred
- Experience in PCI compliance, or similar compliance frameworks
- Familiarity with enterprise level network architecture and topologies
- Experience with Cloud and hybrid Cloud / On-premise security designs
- Experience in a large enterprise corporate environment
