Our client, a Biopharmaceutical company, is in search of an IT Technical Lead / Manager-Facility Operations & Technology to be focused on facilities technologies, and all things building security and safety operations.
Location: North Chicago, IL 60064
Contract Duration: 12-month contract
Hybrid Schedule: 3 days a week onsite (2 days remote), small chance of travel less than 3 trips total.

Responsibilities:
- This position will be responsible for supporting facility/building technologies including traditional information technology applications, operations technology, instruments, and client-server applications.
- It will require hands-on work with applications, infrastructure, and networking, as well as support of GxP processes.
- It requires a strong knowledge of communications protocols, and the corresponding network security considerations.
- The role will be responsible also for creating strong institutional knowledge and work process documentation so that new team members can onboard successfully.
- Project-wise, there are several required installations and upgrades of applications in our facility technology space, and this role will give the person a chance to lead and execute.
- They will be expected to own small/medium projects end to end and follow our system lifecycle.
Top Required Skills:
- At least 5 years of experience serving as a technical lead on complex projects
- At least 5 years of experience supporting GxP applications and working in regulated environments.
- At least 5 years of experience writing and following system life cycle documentation and knowledge base solutions.
Qualifications:
- Cooperation and stakeholder relationship management: works directly with business unit clients to understand specific business processes business drivers and business strategies across multiple business units; identifies and communicates resulting needs and opportunities for business process improvement that can be enabled via technology.
- Strong technical background with focus on complex desktop clients and Operating Technology systems (building automation and control, fire systems, calibration).
- Deep experience with GxP global applications and facility solutions that require personal data compliance.
- Experience troubleshooting and working with device communications protocols like BACnet.
- Initiative and self-starter that is motivated to do great work
- Business analysis and some project management experience preferred
