Looking for a Sr. Data Engineer with either Snowflake expertise OR PowerBI expertise – Remote Roles – Must currently live in CST and EST time zones
Duration: 6+ months with possibility of longer term extensions
Pay Rate: $45 - $49/hr on W2
Role:
Design, build, and maintain data infrastructure that supports the commercial team's efforts, enabling seamless data flow, analysis, and reporting.
You will be responsible for integrating various data sources and building dashboards for high-performance analytics.
Must have strong technical skills in data engineering, experience working with sales and marketing data.
Integrate various data sources to create a unified view of revenue, order, pipeline, marketing lead, and customer data.
Develop efficient data models that support business reporting and decision-making, using tools like SQL, Python, or R.
Design, develop, and maintain a comprehensive commercial data dictionary including revenue, order and pipeline data from Snowflakes that defines all data elements, ensuring clear documentation for all stakeholders.
Build and optimize Power BI data models that support reporting and analytics requirements, ensuring that data is well-structured for efficient querying and analysis.
Develop snowflake schema data models to support high-performance, scalable dashboards and reports in Power BI.
Work closely with business analysts and end-users to translate business needs into technical data models and visualizations in Power BI.
Create DAX measures and calculations to support complex reporting needs within Power BI dashboards.
Support the development of Power BI dashboards by providing clean, structured data for visualizations.
Assist the commercial team in building custom reports and dashboards by ensuring the data infrastructure supports their requirements.
Enable real-time reporting by integrating live data feeds where applicable.
Build, maintain, and optimize scalable data pipelines to support automated data processing and real-time analytics.
Automate recurring tasks such as reporting, data extraction, and analysis to improve operational efficiency.
Experience working with large datasets and creating data models to support business intelligence and analytics initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS -
Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on building data models and managing data dictionaries.
Proven experience with Power BI, including building complex data models, optimizing performance, and creating dashboards with DAX/PowerQuery.
Strong SQL skills for data querying and manipulation, with experience in database management and ETL processes.
Expertise in statistical and mathematical methodologies for data analysis.
Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, C4C) and sales performance data.
