Fiber Construction Manager

Our client is a stable and growing provider of Communications and Cable Construction services throughout the Southern California region and beyond. They continually look for talented leaders with opportunity and ability to grown and expand.

As a Fiber Manager you will oversee and manage all aspects of the Fiber operations team to ensure that all fiber splicing, maintenance response and construction are completed in accordance with project specifications while monitoring and ensuring safe work practices. You will provide leadership and training to employees on fiber splicing practices and methods to ensure a safe work environment.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 5 years of telecommunications industry experience, with Cable Television industry experience preferred, with two years in a management position.
  
• Provide verifiable evidence of experience independently Managing multiple crew/sub-contractor resources to deliver time sensitive projects.
  
• Telecommunications / Cable Television outside plant Fiber network hands on experience

What You Will Be Doing

• Plan, assign, and oversee daily production tasks to laborers and crews. Assign, inspect, and track materials and vehicles needed for the daily operations.
• Assist the Project Manager in all aspects of fiber splicing needs.
• Resolve complaints with property owners in areas where our personnel are working.
• Review and verify all daily production reports, material usage sheets, and confirm that all reports are submitted with the required documentation prior to approval (i.e. photos, signatures, receipts, etc.)
• Plan and schedule project timelines. Provide a high level of customer service and professionalism when meeting with customers.
• Work shifts as assigned, including daily overtime, when necessary, support outages and scheduled night work.
