Our client is a stable and growing provider of Communications and Cable Construction services throughout the Southern California region and beyond. They continually look for talented leaders with opportunity and ability to grown and expand.

They are seeking a detail-oriented Underground Cable Construction Supervisor with experience in overseeing and managing underground construction projects. Proficient in project management, team leadership, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards. Adept at coordinating with cross-functional teams, managing budgets, and delivering projects on time and within scope.

Required Skills & Experience
  • 2+ years of Underground Utility Construction experience.
  • Experienced in telecommunication installation construction.
  • Strong leadership.
  • 2+ years of experience with Horizontal Directional Drilling/ Boring and other underground machinery.
  • 2+ years of Open Trench experience.
  • 2+ years of Asphalt Restoration experience.
  • 2+ years of Concrete experience.
  • Responsible with excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of city, county, and state clearance codes preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand maps, drawings, and diagrams for projects.
  • Understand blueprints.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Responsible for overseeing horizontal/directional drill rigs and plows, DCI F-5 locating equipment and equipment supporting a major telecommunications infrastructure project.
  • Develop your team's skills and knowledge in telecom construction, emphasizing safety and quality.
  • Lead by example to support and promote the company-wide safety culture.
  • You will be in direct contact with the manager of underground construction to maintain efficient production.
  • Drive your team to meet deadlines and produce quality projects while providing elevated levels of customer service.
  • Provide direction and oversight to multiple crews and their job-site activities, including pre-construction meetings and daily task planning.
  • Conduct all daily work inspections including trucks and equipment in advance to maintain accuracy and timelines.
  • Create and track purchase orders as needed, assisting the Project Manager with all construction needs.
  • Plan, assign, and oversee daily production tasks, ensuring accurate and timely upload of production reports to SharePoint.
  • Assign, inspect, and track vehicles and assets needed for daily operations.
  • Resolve complaints with property owners in areas where personnel are working.
