Senior Java Engineer / Event Driven Architecture / Wood Dale

A global aviation services company based in the Northwest Suburbs is looking to hire a Senior Java Engineer. This team is building out complex, enterprise-scale systems using Springboot, Microservices, Azure, Kafka and SQL. It’s a hands-on engineering role that includes architecture responsibilities, empowering an event-driven mission-critical web application used across the organization.

Required Skills & Experience

• BS or MS in Computer Science or another related field
• 5+ years of professional engineering experience with Modern Java and Springboot
• Experience building Greenfield Microservices
• Architecture experience
• Strong SQL experience

Desired Skills & Experience

• Event-driven architecture experience with Kafka[VM1]
• Prior experience working in a fast-paced, unstructured environment
