Required Skills & Experience
- 2+ years of Information Security Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Basic understanding of data encryption concepts, security protocols, or related technologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an eagerness to learn and develop technical expertise.
- Familiarity with compliance and regulatory environments, particularly in financial services, is a plus.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Exposure to encryption tools such as Vormetric, CipherTrust Manager, or similar platforms.
- Experience working with structured data environments and understanding of data lifecycle management.
- Basic scripting or programming knowledge for development or automation purposes.
What You Will Be Doing
- Participate in low to moderately complex initiatives and identify opportunity for process improvements within Information Security Engineering.
- Review and analyze basic or tactical Information Security Engineering assignments or challenges that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternatives, related to low-to-medium risk deliverables.
- Present recommendations for resolving low to moderately complex situations and exercise some independent judgment while developing understanding of function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Provide information to client personnel in Information Security Engineering.
- Data Encryption Management: Assist in the implementation, maintenance, and support of encryption technologies to secure structured data at rest.
- Monitor encryption systems and processes to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Vendor Collaboration: Work with a variety of vendors to implement and manage encryption solutions.
- Support vendor assessments and ensure adherence to compliance and security requirements.
- Development and Support: Contribute to the development and integration of encryption tools and processes.
- Provide hands-on support for technical issues and enhancements.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Assist with compliance-related activities, including audits, regulatory reporting, and maintaining documentation.
- Ensure all encryption practices align with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with senior engineers and leadership to support the team’s goals and objectives.
- Participate in training opportunities to develop expertise in data encryption technologies and compliance practices.
