Once again celebrating the very best the tech industry has to offer, Motion Recruitment’s community platform Tech in Motion is hosting its eighth annual Timmy Awards this fall. 2022’s awards will boast a few exciting changes like the return of the Best Tech for Diversity Award and a Startup Pitch-off Showcase, in line with Tech in Motion’s re-launch earlier this year that emphasizes building the most robust community in the industry for technologists to come together to build, grow and innovate.

The 2022 Timmys: What You Need to Know
After the success and overwhelming positive feedback of our 2021 show, the 8th Annual Timmy awards will once again be an entirely digital affair on November 10th. Technologists across North America and all over the world will be able to come together from the comfort of their own homes or offices to celebrate the very best in tech.

Nominations are now open for this year’s awards, with a deadline to nominate on August 26th. The 2022 edition of the Timmy Awards brings the return of the Best Tech Workplace for Diversity award, which recognizes companies that treat diversity as a necessary ingredient for creativity and success. Winners of this award implement strategic hiring practices, explore and celebrate team member differences, encourage diverse thinking to produce an innovative product and/or service, and promote diversity at all levels of the organization.
This is in addition to the five awards from last year: Best Tech Enterprise Employer, Best Tech Work Culture, Best Tech for Good, Best Tech Startup and Best Tech Manager. To learn more about each category and its criteria, click here.
Also, like last year, companies and managers have opportunities for regional and national recognition. Finalists will compete for the Regional Timmy Award in their respective categories and city. The winners of these categories will be voted on by the local tech community, with Regional Winners moving on to the North American Timmy Award, where North American winners will be selected by our expert panel of judges.
2022 Timmys judges will again consist of experts across a wide swath of the tech industry. Previous years have featured judges from companies such as Google, Netflix, Oracle, PayPal, Slack, Salesforce, and many more.
