Having placed mobile engineers for nearly a decade, I’ve seen cross-platform solutions come and go — Titanium, Cordova, Xamarin, etc. These mobile development applications that use one codebase are a common choice. But their performance is sometimes lacking, and building native applications is often proven to offer a vastly better user experience. One exception is React Native, which is gaining in popularity and is a functional winner as it closes this performance gap within the cross-platform applications market.
React Native is also a great way for traditional JavaScript engineers who were not exposed to native iOS or Android development to enter into such a high-demand hiring sector.
