Azure Solutions Engineer

As the Azure Solutions Engineer, you will be instrumental in ensuring the secure and efficient operation of identity and authentication solutions, while offering technical expertise and support for Entra ID (Azure AD) implementations. This position is highly technical but also demands strong communication skills, as you will regularly collaborate with leadership and C-level executives.

The company is located in the D.C. Area and will remain remote, but the candidate must be local to the area.

What You Will Be Doing:
  • Ensure the secure and efficient operation of identity and authentication solutions, with a primary focus on Entra ID systems.
  • Develop and manage PowerShell scripts to automate tasks in Microsoft Entra ID, including user provisioning, authentication policies, conditional access, and group management.
  • Conduct advanced troubleshooting and remediation of product issues, including bug investigations, business impact assessments, and collaboration with stakeholders and senior team members to devise solutions.
  • Convert customer feedback into practical processes and workflows to enhance case resolution effectiveness.
  • Design, develop, and deploy infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, and PowerShell scripts.
  • Implement and manage Azure Automation tools and services, including Runbooks, Logic Apps, and Power Automate.
  • Integrate applications of varying complexity into Entra ID to enable modern authentication and authorization, including:
    • Legacy applications
    • Enterprise self-hosted applications
    • Modern cloud/platform applications
  • Develop cloud solutions to support a complex hybrid environment, encompassing both on-premise and cloud-based systems.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of experience in Azure cloud solutions and infrastructure management.
  • Strong understanding of various deployment resource types (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, DRaaS) and their appropriate use cases.
  • Experience in implementing Zero Trust security solutions using Entra ID.
  • Deep knowledge of the Microsoft 365 and Azure ecosystems, including platforms and services.
  • Extensive experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and task management.
  • Azure certifications are preferred, indicating expertise in Azure cloud technologies.
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
