Cloud Infrastructure Engineer
As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will take ownership of managing and evolving their GCP infrastructure, continuously enhancing cloud architecture to align with the latest capabilities and industry’s best practices. You’ll play a key role in assessing the performance and reliability of production systems, assisting in vulnerability triage, and developing tools that simplify and automate the deployment and configuration of cloud services.
The company is located in NoHo, NY and will be 5 days onsite a week.

As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will take ownership of managing and evolving their GCP infrastructure, continuously enhancing cloud architecture to align with the latest capabilities and industry’s best practices. You’ll play a key role in assessing the performance and reliability of production systems, assisting in vulnerability triage, and developing tools that simplify and automate the deployment and configuration of cloud services.

What You Will Be Doing:
- Oversee the full lifecycle of GCP infrastructure, proactively identifying opportunities for automation and optimization.
- Investigate production issues and vulnerabilities to develop tools that address design-stage flaws while upholding core security principles.
- Collaborate with engineering leads to implementing changes that enhance system performance and stability.
- Drive improvements across engineering tools, internal systems, development processes, and data security practices.
- Architect and build software integrations in response to user feedback and evolving requirements.
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines and other developer automation frameworks.
- Harden and optimize compute and storage infrastructure to ensure scalability and resilience.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for internal tools and operational procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a DevOps, Site Reliability Engineer, or in a similar software engineering role.
- Strong expertise in network, security, IAM, server, and application monitoring, with a deep understanding of full-stack infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform services and tools.
- Familiarity with modern software development practices, including design/code reviews and automated testing.
- Proficient in scripting languages such as Python or Perl, and in version control systems like Git/GitHub.
- Production-level experience using Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform) and container technologies (e.g., Docker).
- Solid knowledge of both relational and non-relational databases such as PostgreSQL and Redis.
- Exposure to security testing tools such as SAST and DAST is a plus.
- Working understanding security protocols, encryption, authentication, and authorization.
- Familiarity with compliance standards such as PCI, NIST, and NYDFS is highly desirable.
