Entry Level Systems Engineer
This company is seeking an entry-level Systems Engineer to support the development, deployment, and maintenance of secure cloud-based communications systems. In this role, you’ll contribute to the creation of technical documentation aligned with government and operational standards, while gaining hands-on experience in a mission-critical environment.
The company is located in Manassas, VA and will be 3 days onsite a week.
The candidate must be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.

What You Will Be Doing:
- Support systems engineering activities across the full lifecycle, following the standard V-model from requirements gathering through operational deployment.
- Work closely with engineers and program teams to collect and translate technical information into accurate documentation.
- Draft, edit, and maintain critical documents such as:
- System architecture and network diagrams
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Interface Control Documents (ICDs)
- System Security Plans (SSPs)
- Installation/configuration guides and internal knowledge base articles
- Assist in engineering tasks related to system specifications, test planning and execution, and development of security documentation and training content.
- Engage in Agile development sprints and collaborate with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) across both classified and unclassified environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Technical Communication, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and succinctly.
- Foundational knowledge of cloud computing, virtualization, and networking concepts.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally; valid passport required.
- Eligibility for a TS/SCI security clearance.
