An energy commodity trading firm based in Arlington, VA is looking to add a Full Stack Software Engineer to a small, highly collaborative team.

This role sits close to the business. You’ll be building internal tools that help traders analyze prices, move quickly, reduce risk, and automate decision-making across energy markets. The work is hands-on, analytical, and impactful. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys owning problems end to end and seeing their work directly influence outcomes.

The tech stack includes Python, Java, SQL, and React. You don’t need to come from finance or energy to do well here; curiosity, problem-solving, and comfort working with data matter far more.

Minimum qualifications

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience.
  • You must be located in the DC area and able to come onsite (hybrid). 

  • 3+ years of experience using TypeScript, React, Java, and Python.

  • Analytical mindset; experience working with data is a plus.

  • Proactive, outgoing personality who enjoys working on a small team.

  • Math, statistics, or other quantitative background is a plus.
