SailPoint Engineer

As a SailPoint Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving existing IdentityIQ software solutions. Your role will involve developing and configuring code for various components of the IdentityIQ platform, leveraging your expertise in XML, Java, BeanShell, and related technologies.

The company is located in Arlington, VA and will be a hybrid model of 2-3 days on site a week.

What You Will Be Doing:
  • Maintain and enhance existing IdentityIQ software solutions.
  • Develop and configure code for all components of the IdentityIQ platform.
  • Leverage expertise in XML, Java, BeanShell, IDE/Code Repository, Server OS, Tomcat, JDBC/SQL, and IdentityIQ configuration.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, evaluate new tools, and implement technologies that add value to the organization.
  • Implement and configure SailPoint IdentityIQ (IIQ) to ensure seamless integration with upstream and downstream systems.
  • Develop provisioning functionality, data mapping rules, and efficient workflows within the SailPoint ecosystem.
  • Provide end-to-end development and deployment support, including user acceptance testing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements, translating them into effective solutions.
  • Continuously optimize SailPoint configurations to meet evolving business needs.
  • Stay up to date with SailPoint IIQ updates and industry best practices to drive continuous improvements.
  • Work with security and identity management teams to design and implement robust identity governance and administration (IGA) solutions.
  • Contribute to the design and development of zero-trust ICAM enterprise architectures.
  • Advise on architectural strategies using extensive experience in implementing ICAM solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve functional and technical issues related to SailPoint.
  • Develop and deploy new code into UAT and Production as part of the system development lifecycle.
  • Identify and communicate high-level gaps and issues in core functional areas.
  • Collaborate with integration stakeholders to understand requirements and lead the design, development, and implementation of IAM systems and processes.
  • Customize workflows, forms, rules, certifications, and connectors as needed.
  • Resolve issues encountered during System Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • At least 4 years of experience in IdentityIQ software development and maintenance.
  • Proficiency in XML, Java, BeanShell, and related technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of IdentityIQ configuration and API.
  • Experience with SailPoint IdentityIQ or similar IAM platforms.
  • Proven experience in designing and developing zero-trust ICAM enterprise architectures.
  • Participation in at least two ICAM implementation project lifecycles.
  • Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Eligibility for public trust clearance.
