Senior IT Project Manager
Atlanta, Georgia
Contract
$45/hr - $55/hr
Join a financial services organization as a Senior IT Project Manager in a contract role with flexible work arrangements available anywhere in the United States. This position can be fully remote, hybrid, or onsite based on your preference. You'll lead projects from ideation to implementation, playing a significant role in the overall success of the organization. While technology and digital are integral to all aspects of projects, this is not a purely technical project management role focused on development cycle management. Instead, the organization seeks a well-rounded individual who has led large strategic business initiatives in the financial services space. This contract runs from February 23, 2026 through June 29, 2026 with a strong chance for extension. The hourly rate ranges from $45 to $55 based on experience, and this is a backfill position working with teams spread across multiple time zones.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned project management professional to lead strategic business initiatives in the financial services industry with complete flexibility in work location. Unlike purely technical PM roles, this position requires business acumen and the ability to manage large strategic initiatives that impact the organization at the highest levels. You'll have direct exposure to executive leadership, presenting on status and risks while driving significant business transformation projects. The role offers tremendous variety, from facilitating requirements gathering meetings to preparing executive presentations and managing cross-functional collaboration. Working with distributed teams across multiple time zones provides exposure to diverse stakeholders and complex coordination challenges. The strong chance for extension beyond the initial contract period offers potential for long-term engagement. With competitive hourly compensation and the autonomy to work from anywhere in the US, this role provides both professional challenge and personal flexibility. The focus on strategic business initiatives rather than pure technical development means you'll influence business outcomes and drive organizational success at a strategic level.
