Job Title: Senior Developer (Mainframe / Natural / Adabas)
Location: Atlanta, GA, 30354 (Hybrid)
Duration: 12 Month Contract
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Developer with strong Mainframe expertise and hands-on experience in Natural and Adabas technologies. The ideal candidate will have a proven background in designing, developing, and supporting enterprise-level applications while collaborating closely with business and technical stakeholders.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Professional development experience
- Strong Mainframe development knowledge
- Hands-on experience with Natural (Natural Coder)
- Solid expertise in Adabas
- Experience working across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder interaction skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze, design, develop, test, and implement business and technical IT solutions
- Apply SDLC methodologies to ensure high-quality application delivery
- Develop and support systems based on core, COTS, and niche technologies
- Participate in application implementations, upgrades, enhancements, and system conversions
- Identify and resolve complex business and technical issues using appropriate tools and techniques
- Collaborate with business users to understand requirements and technical context
- Validate project scope, plans, and deliverables for assigned initiatives
- Lead design, development, implementation, and support efforts across multiple platforms and technologies
- Define project scope, timelines, and deliverables, including implementation schedules
- Research, recommend, and implement new technologies, tools, processes, and best practices
- Assist in defining alternative technical solutions to address business challenges
Nice to Have:
- Experience with legacy system modernization or evolution
- Exposure to cross-functional or multi-discipline development environments
- Prior experience working in large enterprise or regulated environments
