Contract
$75/hr - $90/hr
We are seeking a Technical Architect to provide architectural leadership and technical direction within an assigned business or application area. This role ensures solution development aligns with enterprise architecture vision and roadmap while supporting scalable, secure, and sustainable delivery. The Technical Architect works closely with business and IT leadership, mentors development teams, and drives architectural decisions across multiple domains including application, infrastructure, and data architecture.

Translate business strategy and architectural vision into implementable solutions and features

Drive technology vision within assigned application or business area

Evaluate new technologies, platforms, and third-party solutions for roadmap alignment

Guide architecture and technical design through consensus and approval

Establish and maintain technical standards across applications and teams

Partner with Agile teams during Program Increment (PI) planning and delivery

Mentor and coach developers; provide hands-on architectural guidance

Identify, communicate, and resolve architectural risks and trade-offs

Collaborate with enterprise architecture groups to support standards and governance

Support special projects and additional duties as assigned

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience

8+ years of experience in application, infrastructure, or data architecture

Hands-on experience with both greenfield development and legacy system modernization

1+ year leading architecture and software design for development teams

Experience working in Agile environments; SAFe experience preferred

Experience with CI/CD practices and DevOps pipelines

Experience using open-source technologies in enterprise environments

Strong ability to translate business needs into architectural solutions

Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills

Ability to balance long-term architecture strategy with short-term delivery needs
