Our client, a major U.S. airline, is actively looking for a Technical Product Owner to join their team in Atlanta! This role is onsite hybrid so local candidates are required.
***This is a 1 year initial contract with the opportunity to extend or convert***
Required Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of hands-on experience working as a Product Owner
- Solid understanding of concept and principles of agile methodology; strong knowledge of Agile/SDLC development methodologies
- Solid understanding of product features; ability to design, build, and develop a new product, technology, or service from feasibility through to production
- Solid understanding of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project
- Airline or hospitality industry experience, as well as business process re-engineering and/or extensive experience working with agile teams, is a big plus
What You Will Be Doing
- Responsible for conducting sophisticated and detailed research of existing processes, systems, and desired objectives to meet the goals/intent of the assigned products
- Work with Product Manager, and SMEs to prioritize feature development, based on the business value
- Elicit and create initial epics/features and elaborating into user scenarios that clearly describe the functional and non-functional requirements
- Deliver business requirements via artifacts such as epics, features, scenarios, acceptance criteria, process flows, wireframe diagrams, interaction diagrams, mockups/demos, etc.
- Collaborate with a multi-functional teams inside a Scrum framework
- Conduct work sessions and document new features, requirements, and strategies
- Perform testing, track bugs, enhancements and ensure issues are resolved before promoting to production environments
- Support the identification of risks and mitigation approaches
