Windows Administrator / Villa Rica / Hybrid

An exciting opportunity in Villa Rica, GA, with a client seeking a skilled Server Engineer for a hybrid contract role. Our client is looking for a Windows Server Administrator to provide production support for 100+ servers. This position offers the chance to manage Windows Server environments, Nutanix, Active Directory, and Azure while maintaining and optimizing both on-premises and cloud infrastructure.

You will be responsible for implementing multi-factor authentication (MFA) and ensuring the security and availability of systems. This contract role lasts for 6 months, with potential for conversion.

Required Skills and Experience

• 5+ years of experience in server production support and data center migration.
• Expertise as a Windows Server Administrator, including Active Directory and Azure AD.
• Proficient in Windows Server operating systems (2012, 2016, 2019+) and experienced with Nutanix.
• Knowledge of multi-factor authentication solutions and hybrid cloud services.
• Strong troubleshooting skills, excellent communication abilities, and relevant certifications (Microsoft Certified: Azure Admin).

Daily Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies for backup and disaster recovery, monitor system performance, and maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations and processes.
• Manage Azure AD services to ensure seamless synchronization between on-premises directories and cloud-based identity solutions.
• Administer Windows Server environments by handling installation, configuration, and troubleshooting, along with managing Active Directory (including user/group management, GPOs, and permissions).
• Collaborate with IT teams on various initiatives, enforce security best practices, and manage MX records for effective email routing and delivery.
• Leverage Nutanix expertise to improve cloud computing, virtualization, and software-defined storage capabilities.
• Optimize the hybrid infrastructure for performance and reliability while implementing multi-factor authentication to enhance security measures.
