Senior PHP Developer / Atlanta Georgia

Job Description: As a Senior PHP Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our SaaS platform that powers 24/7 monitoring and video streaming for home security systems. You will work closely with our cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, designers, and product managers, to build robust, scalable solutions. This role requires you to be onsite in our West Midtown office at least 3 days a week, with the flexibility to work remotely the other 2 days.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain PHP-based applications, including both backend and API integrations
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
• Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and security
• Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of the development process
• Work closely with product managers to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs
• Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in PHP development

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Senior PHP Developer with 5+ years of experience in web development
• Strong proficiency in PHP and experience with frameworks such as Laravel or Symfony
• Experience with RESTful APIs and integrating with third-party services
• Familiarity with MySQL, database design, and query optimization
• Strong understanding of web security best practices
• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, dog-friendly environment
• Must be located in Atlanta, Georgia, or willing to relocate

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud services such as AWS or Google Cloud
• Familiarity with front-end technologies such as Vue.js or React
• Experience with video streaming technologies
• Background in building and scaling SaaS applications
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks
