Site Reliability Engineer / GCP / Norcross

A prominent entertainment company based in the Atlanta area is looking to expand its engineering team by adding a Site Reliability Engineer to help deliver top-tier streaming services to their customers. This year-long contract opportunity offers a hybrid work arrangement, with the expectation of being in the Sandy Springs office twice per week.

As a leading provider of television and streaming content, this company is seeking an experienced SRE to work in their hybrid cloud environment, which is powered by Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Expertise in Kubernetes is crucial, as you'll be responsible for managing their CI/Cd pipeline and handling seamless deployments. The ideal candidate should have solid experience in GCP, Kubernetes(GKE), Automation work, and Python scripting.

Key Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience managing cloud-based systems and services (preferably GCP or AWS)
• Proven experience with Kubernetes deployment and management
• Expertise in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to ensure optimal performance
• Strong automation skills for both Kubernetes and non-Kubernetes-related tasks
• Ability to make contributions to high-level architectural decisions

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Local Atlanta-based candidates who can commute to the office weekly
• A degree in Computer Science or Information Technology (or related field)
• Familiarity with Google Anthos or Rancher, specifically for monitoring and observability
• 50% focused on operations tasks, ensuring smooth service delivery and system reliability
• 50% hands-on development, contributing directly to the company’s technical goals
