This is a contract-to-hire IT Field Technician position based in Austin, Texas, for a national home building company. The role involves a mix of hands-on technical work and customer support. Responsibilities include resolving service desk issues such as desktop support, troubleshooting software problems, internet connectivity issues, and managing accounts through Active Directory and Azure. You will also support users in a Microsoft Office 365 environment. This position is contract-to-hire, with the opportunity for permanent conversion at the 3–6-month mark. Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude are essential, along with solid technical troubleshooting abilities in a professional IT environment.
This position will report directly to the office located in Austin, Texas each day before traveling to various field locations across the area. We are looking for individuals who are willing to travel to build sites to assist with site setup. Typical responsibilities in this part of the role include installing modern cables for internet connectivity and troubleshooting LAN issues.

What You Will Be Doing
Tech Breakdown

Required Skills & Experience
- Strong communication skills, experience supporting non-technical staff.
- Professional attire, presentation and personality.
- You must provide your own car and drive yourself to destinations.
- Tiers 1 and 2 support including O365 & AD.
- Must have Windows. Strong preference for Mac too.
- Networking fundamentals such as LAN, WAN, Routers, Switches, TCP/IP, etc.
- Experience imaging laptops, supporting A/V, and supporting cell phones.
