QA Tech II / Quality Assurance, Testing / Onsite / Austin, TX
Our client is a Fortune 10 company that is looking to hire a QA Tech II on a contractual basis. Based out of Austin, TX this position will be fully onsite.
They are seeking a talented and highly motivated QA/Lab Engineer to work specifically on Alexa devices. The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, can troubleshoot complex issues, is detail-oriented, and has a knack for thoroughly testing and validating electronic devices.
Contract Duration: 7 Months
Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with software project testing: Defining test strategy, writing test plans, designing and executing software tests.
- 1+ years of experience in writing scripts in at least Python.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Knowledge of UNIX environment is desired.
- Demonstrated expertise in black box and grey box testing methodologies, experience with standard QA and development tools, and the ability to operate within short release cycles.
- Hands-on experience in testing Linux and/or Android-based devices.
What You Will Be Doing
Daily Responsibilities
- Work with Hardware and Software Engineers, Product Managers, and other Quality Engineers to ensure the proper operation and performance of Alexa-enabled devices.
- Thoroughly test and validate Alexa-enabled devices across both hardware and software dimensions.
- Define test strategies, write detailed test plans, design, and execute software tests for Alexa products.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and report complex issues, contributing to root cause analysis and resolution.
